The Forgotten Dog Foundation is a one-of-a-kind transformational rescue. They take in all types of dogs and have the overarching mission to transform their lives and give them a better home than ever before. The Forgotten Dog Foundation has used their RSO Grant to help over 200 dogs find new homes as well as helping 10 disabled dogs walk for the first time
Meade Canine Rescue strives to alleviate the overpopulation and resulting euthanasia of unwanted dogs through public education, rescuing, providing medical care and spaying and neutering as many dogs as possible with the resources available, primarily within our target areas of California and Connecticut. We end the suffering of the dogs we care for by providing them food, shelter, veterinarian care, exercise, and love.
In January, Chiquita’s friends used their grant from RSO to set up a clinic in La Bellena in San Jose Del Cabo. There were over 300 animals, 49% dogs, 51% cats and provided spay, neuter and vaccinations for all 300 within a day. Chiquita will be doing their next event in March!
For Christmas 2021, the RSO team went to two low-income housing units for seniors to provide food, beds, toys, clothing and more for their pets. This was a huge success for our team and for the residents as we helped over 100 animals and people combined and have facilitated an everlasting relationship with these residents and their companions. Our success in our holiday drive has lead us to continue down the path of providing aid for pets of low-income, homeless, elderly demographics and we are excited to continue to expand our efforts
